:.  WELCOME MESSAGE BY THE CONGRESS PRESIDENT

Dear Colleagues, Guests and Friends,

RECONSTRUCTIVE AND AESTHETIC SURGERY with international participation will take place in Dubrovnik from October 6th to October 10th 2010. On behalf of the Organising Committee and of behalf of Croatian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, it is my pleasure to cordially welcome you at this event.

We expect a great number of experienced colleagues and dear friends from our country as well as international participants from more than 20 countries from all over the world. The various participating societies have accepted invitations and supported our idea for scientific program which will hold out by invited presentations of distinguish Croatian and foreign speakers wishing to enclose all fields of aesthetic surgery, hand surgery, burns and modern wound treatment. All other colleagues, will have an opportunity to bring out their own experiences and states through free papers, discussions, round table and poster presentations. We have organised two satellite symposiums, and two workshops. We have also prepared whole day precongress courses with live surgery presenting various techniques in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery which will be performed by excellent international surgeons.

Croatian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery is a relatively young but very active society, strongly connected with international community in this field of surgery. That is a reason why our conferences are significantly marked as international ones and our present Congress is endorsed by European Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ESPRAS). On this meeting we are also planning to improve regional interaction and collaboration, and we truly believe, that this Congress, will result in closer cooperation of all related professions.

Dubrovnik, more than 1000 years old City, one of the most known Mediterranean historical and cultural center has not only a centuries-old tradition in medicine and pharmacy but also a great tradition in meetings and events organisation. Therefore we plan for you and your accompanying persons exciting social program trying to make your stay in Dubrovnik more pleased and comfortable.
